Sumantra Sengupta is an artist and educator focused on the expressions of people's movement in Kolkata as part of his residency. Sengupta laments, "Protest is one thing the city has forgotten to stand for. I don't see the people of Kolkata protesting anymore …to me, it is a loss; no one protests and everyone succumbs to the corporates, the millionaires, and the neoliberal economy."
